Percy Harold Peacock was born in Ashen on 7th April 1920 (Risbridge Q2-1920 4A:1915), son of Joseph Lewis and Ena PEACOCK (née TWITCHETT).

In 1939, his parents and grandmother Rebecca TWITCHETT were living at Pannels Ash.

His uncle Albert Peacock died of his wounds when a prisoner of war of the Germans in 1918.. see here
His uncle James Twitchett was killed in France in 1917.. see here


He was captured at the surrender of Singapore on 15th February 1942
