David PASK was born in Balsham (Linton Q1-1893 3B:492), baptised in Balsham on 25th December 1894, son of Elijah and Olga PASK (née BASHAM).

1901 census...Aged 8, he was at Old House Road, Balsham, with his father Elijah PASK [43] farm labourer born Kedington; his mother Olga [40] born Great Wratting; brothers Frederick [16] and Albert [14] both farm labourer, Harry [10] and George; sisters Jane [10], and Rose [2]. All the children were born in Balsham. Also a boarder, farm labourer Harry HOWE [40] born Balsham.

1911 census...Aged 14, a farm labourer, he was at High Street, Balsham with his parents; brothers John, Albert, Harry, and George (all farm labourers); sisters Jane and Rose. Some of the ages have "slipped" somewhat but it is the right family group still.


David enlisted at Linton in September 1914. Where and when he was wounded is not known.
He died at No.2 Western General Hospital, Manchester, believed to be in the Brookhouse Mill Section. With it's many sections in hospital, schools etc the hospital totalled over 16,000 beds.
