Gerald Elijah Frost was born in Sapiston (Thetford Q4-1899 4B:347) son of Elijah and Susanna FROST (née ?).

1901 census...Aged 1, he was at The Heath, Sapiston with his father Elijah FROST [48] farm labourer/stockman born Bardwell; his mother Susannah [39] born Whepstead; sisters Mary [12] born Hengrave, Maud [8] born Whepstead, Daisy [5] born Bardwell, Florence [4], Emma [3] and Kate [4 months] both born in Sapiston; brother Arthur [9] born Hengrave.

He married Daisy L.BERRY (b.22-11-1900) in Q2-1918 which could make him the brother in law of Alfred Berry.

The pension card has his widow at Park Gates, Fakenham Magna with their daughter Lilian Kate (b. 10-9-1918), so it is very likely he never saw his daughter. see here

As he died after the Armistice, he is not found on "Soldiers Died" and dying of wounds or illness and no Army service record found, it is impossible to say where or when exactly he was wounded, or his illness. Tincourt was a centre for Casualty Clearing Stations
