"GAZELEY WAR MEMORIAL"

To the eternal memory of the men of GAZELEY who died in the service of their country
15 in the Great War of 1914-1919 and 3 in 1939-1945


Gazeley has no monument as a war memorial, they have a wall mounted plaque on the wall beside the north door in Gazeley (All Saints) Church. On a red marble plaque are a mounted three white marble tablets. The plaque was unveiled on 22nd February 1920 and dedicated by The Reverend G.A.CHASE, M.C.,M.A. The inscriptions are blackened incised lettering.The centre tablet has, below a cross inscribed the dedication:-

fellow parishioners
who gave their lives
in response to their
Country's call during
THE GREAT WAR
1914-1919
