To the eternal memory of the men of WITHERSFIELD who died in the service of their country
Fifteen in the Great War of 1914-1919 and one from 1939-1945

On the Green, Withersfield, a Latin cross on an obelisk atop a square plinth on a three stepped base. All apparently of Portland stone.
Built by E.C.Green, the memorial was unveiled by Lieutenant H.Lake M.C. on the 12th August 1921 attended by the Rev. W.G.Hodges.


The dedication reads:-
At the bottom of the obelisk on the South face

then on the faces of the plinth the names
