On 27th July 1942, Vickers Wellington IIIC ser.no. BJ590, sqn id. SR-H took off from RAF Bourn, Cambridgeshire on a mission to Hamburg (ORB
954) and failed to return.
For this mission, (apparently their first together, all RAFVR) the crew was:- Pilot - Sgt Donald Ernest RAYMOND; observer - Sgt Keith Malcolm McGREGOR; Observer - Sgt David Jon MILLER; W/Op/Air Gunner - Sgt Alexander LYLE and Air Gunner - Sgt Jack Stead JARVIS Initially buried in Delmenhorst (on the SW suburbs of Bremen), they were re-interred in Becklingen on 21st August 1946. |
