"EUSTON WAR MEMORIAL"

To the eternal memory of the men of EUSTON who died in the service of their country
Ten in the Great War of 1914-1919 and One in 1939-1945 plus one more on the church scroll

Euston war memorial is a stone Celtic cross on a tapered square column, on a three stepped base on the road side green near the entrance to Euston Hall. Only the west face has any inscription. The dedication reads:-

IN GLORIOUS
AND NEVER FADING MEMORY
OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH
WHO SO BRAVELY FOUGHT AND FELL
FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR
1914-1919

followed by the ten names and beneath them, on the top step of the base
1939-1945
and the two names.

Within St Genevieve's Church is a framed and glazed scroll with the names of eleven fallen and those who served and returned.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.
