Much sympathy is felt in this village for Mr.and Mrs. W.Lilley, who have recently received the sad news of the death of their second son, Corpl G.F. (Sammy) Lilley, of the 9th Suffolk Regiment. The deceased solider, who was killed in action on October 10th 1916, was 27 years of age. he is the second hero of this small village to forfeit his life for his country. Deceased was one of six Fornham lads to volunteer for service in September 1914. Mrs.Lilley has three other sons serving in the Army. The eldest, Prv W.Lilley is in the same regiment as his brother, Prvt C Lilley, of the 1/5th Suffolks. He was invalided home from the Dardanelles. Prvt R.J.
