The memorial cross, situated on the south side of the church, to the left of the path to the church entrance. A Fleury cross on a tapered
plinth, all of Portland stone, on a base of York stone. Total height of 2.3 metres. Built by F.H.Goddard and unveiled on 26th September 1920 by General the Hon.F.Stanley and dedicated by the Rector, the Rev Kilner. Cleaned and re-pointed in 2012 The inscription on the plinth is as follows: LEST WE FORGET TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL LOVING MEMORY OF THE MEN WHO WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR LIBERTY AND HONOUR IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 Pte. Charles Rogers, 5th Suffolk Regiment missing August, 1915 Pte. William Rolfe, 10th Suffolk Regiment died October, 1916 R.I.P. 9 o'clock TRANSLATED FROM THE WARFARE OF THE WORLD INTO THE PEACE OF GOD 12 o'clock IN RECOGNITION OF THOSE FROM THIS PARISH WHO NOBLY CAME FOWARD FOR KING AND COUNTRY 3 o'clock IN PEACE THEY SLEEP GOD THEIR SOUL IN SAFETY KEEP Inside the church is a wall mounted brass plaque on a wooden base (42 cm x 49cm). Unveiled in July 1921 by Mrs.Kilner, wife of the Rector. This plaque has three names inscribed. The inscription reads:- AND IN SACRED MEMORY OF PTE.F.J.FISHER 2ND SUFFOLK REGT DIED OF WOUNDS RECEIVED AT YPRES - JANY 21ST 1919 AGED 32 YEARS PTE G.E.SANSOM W.YORKS REGT KILLED IN ACTION AT NEUVE CHAPELLE MAR 18th 1915 AGED 28 YEARS PTE W.C.SANSOM 18TH LANCS FUSILIERS KILLED ON THE SOMME JULY 30TH 1916 AGED 21 YEARS R.I.P.
