Percy Thomas REYNOLDS was born in Whepstead in 1895 (2nd qtr 1895 Thingoe 4a:787) , son of William Robert and Sarah REYNOLDS (née REEMAN).

1901 census...Aged 5 (as Thomas) he was at Boxted Road, Hartest with his father William REYNOLDS [35] cattleman and mother Sarah 34], both born in Whepstead; brother John [10], Isaac [9], William [7] and Walter [3]; sister Daisy [1]. Daisy and Walter were born in Hartest.

1911 census...Aged 15,(as Percy), he was at Black Horse lane, Whepstead with his parents; brother John, Isaac, William, Richard [9], Robert [6] and Bertie [4 months]; sisters Laura [4] and Sarah [3]. All the men were farm labourers. Richrd, Robert, Laura and Sarah were born in Hartest.


He enlisted in Whepstead.

Jerusalem was taken on the 5th December 1917. As his service record has not been found, and his dying of wounds, there is no way to know excatly when or where he was wounded. Even where he actually died has not been found.



Thomas is buried in Ramleh War Cemetery AA:67
