Willie Pawsey was born in Brockley (3rd qtr 1890 Thingoe 4a:701) son of Joseph and Charlotte PAWSEY (née PETTIT). Baptised at Brockley St Andrews on 17th August 1890

1891 census...Aged 10 months he was at The Six Bells, Brockley with his father Joseph PAWSEY [40] innkeeper; his mother Charlotte [42] born Hartest; sisters Lily [7] and Annie [4]; brother Joseph [6]. All except his mother were born in Brockley

1901 census...Aged 11, he was still at The Six Bells with his widowed mother; sisters Lily and Annie and brother Joseph. His father had died that year.

1911 census...Aged 20, a carrier/postman, he was still at The Six Bells, Brockley with his mother and sisters Lily and Annie



He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds
Dying of wounds at a Base Hospital, and no available service record, it is not possible to record when or where he was wounded
