All except his father were born in Bury St.Edmunds 1911 census...Aged 14, an under gardener, he was at Mill House, Nowton Road, Bury St.Edmunds with his parents; sisters Hilda (Edith), Alice [3] and Annie [1]; brothers Frank [9] and George [5]; aunt Harriett ASHEN [37] laundress. His mother had borne 7 children but one, George Norman, had died aged 1. The address on the pension card for his mother is 10a Nowton Road, Bury St.Edmunds. |
