His father died in September 1917 and mother moved to 76 Guildhalll Street, BACK |
He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds.
Not having accessed his service records, and with him dying of his wounds, there is no way of telling where or when he was wounded. The 5th Suffolk were involved in the 3rd battle for Gaza at the start of November 1917.
