The war memorial, 4 mtres high, is a slim Portland stone column on a square base, step and plinth topped with a Celtic Cross. On the east face of the plinth
is the inscription:-
REMEMBER BEFORE HIM
THE HEROIC DEAD OF THIS PARISH
1914-1919
GRANT THEM O LORD ETERNAL REST AND
LET LIGHT PERPETUAL SHINE UPON THEM
On the step below is inscribed:-
ALSO THOSE WHO DIED IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR
1939-1945
GEORGE LAST HENRY DODSON PERCY KING
Built by Messrs A.H.Hanchett of Bury St.Edmunds, the memorial was unveiled by Lt.General Sir Charles Briggs KCB, KCMG. on 12th June 1921
A plaque on the wall inside the church commemorates Lieutenant John White, 2nd Battalion, Hampshire Regiement who died in Gallipoli
