Arthur Reuben Murkin was born in Hargrave on 19th November 1920(4th qtr 1920 Bury St.Edmunds 4a:1716 son of Jonah and Kate Louisa MURKIN (née NUNN)

In the 1939 register his parents, and brothers Raymond and Anthony were at Birds End, Barrow (or Hargrave depending on where you place the boundary)

He married Myrtle J.RUSH from Hawkstead, in Greenwich in 4th qtr 1943. She later married George BAIN in Huntingdon at the end of 1945




With no documentary evidence it is impossible to track him down, especially as he was RASC.





Arthur Murkin is buried in Overloon War Cemetery, Netherlands 2:D:1
Originally buried in St.Anthonis, 5 miles away, he was re-interred in Overloon on 21st May 1947
