Donavon Gordon Rowe was born in Horringer (3rd qtr 1917 Bury St.Edmunds 4a:1306) son of Eileen Freda ROWE, daughter of William and Jane ROWE. His mother married Eric George PEAKE in 1927.

In the 1939 register his stepfather and mother at Dairy Wood Cottage, Little Saxham. Eric PEAKE was a gamekeeper. (2 closed records)



He was captured on 15th February 1942 at the surrender of Singapore to the Japanese
He died of dysentery at Kinsayoke Camp. Originally buried in Kinsayoke, he was re-interred in 1946
