Maurice Pearson Capp was born on 22nd February 1915 in Long Stratton (1st qtr 1915 Depwade 4b:388) son of Wesley and Agnes Mary Anne CAPP (née LARWOOD).

CAPP or CAPPS, Pierson or Pearson,it seems to be flexible. Baptised in Stratton St Mary's on 5th April 1915, father a gardener.

The 1939 register has his parents at Bury Road, Great barton, father a gardener. His Japanese PoW card has his father at The Cottage, Ixworth


He was captured on the surrender of Singapore to the Japanese on 15th February 1942
