Leslie Reeve was born in Glemsford (3rd qtr 1895 Sudbury 4a:767) son of Robert and Rachel REEVE (née KING). 1901 census...Aged 5, he was at Glemsford Police Station with his father Robert REEVE[39] police inspector born Blythburgh; his mother Rachel [42] born Hengrave; sisters Constance [15] and Hilda [10] born Whepstead; brother Albert [14] grocer's apprentice born Whepstead.)

1911 census...Aged 15, grocer's apprentice, he was at the Police Station, Haverhill with his parents.

His father later moved to Ixworth, living at Scotia House, Thetford Road, hence his name on the memorial there



He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds when resident in Haverhill..
