Cyril Cutting was born in 1919 (belived to be in Ixworth) (3rd qtr 1919 Bury St.Edmunds 4a:1424) son of Florence May CUTTING. She married Cyril Henry STURGEON in 1941



It was thought he took part in the capture of Pegasus Bridge or Horsa Bridge on D-Day, but the Royal Engineers in the assault party were 249 Company and the complete list of participants on "ParaData" does not included Cyril. He was obviously in another section of the Airborne
Paradata has him killed by enemy shellfire, together with Driver William Aldous from Ascot
