1911 census...Aged 15, grocer's apprentice, he was at the Police Station, Haverhill with his parents. His father later moved to Ixworth, living at Scotia House, Thetford Road, hence his name on the memorial there |
He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds when resident in Haverhill..
