Arthur William Walpole was born in Norwich on 20th June 1901 (3rd qtr 1901 Norwich 4b:120 ) son of Richard and Eliza WALPOLE (née GODDARD). His mother married Arthur WARREN in 1914 (Bury St.Edmunds). His father had died in 1908.

Admitted to Heigham Street Infants School on 18th November 1907, leaving on 29th November 1907, his guardian being Mrs Miller of 85 Pottergste Street (left the home)
Admitted to Quayside Boys School on 30th August 1910, father Arthur Warren of 85 Britannia Road, withdrawn from that school on 30th July 1914, which could be around the time his mother re-married

1911 census...Aged 9, he was living at 85 Britannia Road with his uncle Robert Isaac RICHARDSON [48] GER railway porter born Hethersett and his wife Anne [52] born North Walsham (her 2nd marriage..1st was AKERS). His mother [born 1865 at Rishangles, Suffolk] was housekeeper for George Blencowe at 8 Angel Hill, Bury St.Edmunds.

His mother was in Ixworth in the 1921 census and the pension card has her at Ixworth Heath


He died in hospital in Colchester and is buried in Colchester. He died of influenza and broncho-pneumonia
