"LAWSHALL WAR MEMORIAL"

To the eternal memory of the men of LAWSHALL who died in the service of their country
Twenty four in the Great War of 1914-1919 and One from 1939-145 and 2 others



The war memorial is a white marble plaque on a black base, 86cm high x 58cm wide, on the wall in the church, unveiled on 7th August 1921

In addition there are memorials inside the church to Capt.Benjamin Trafford-Rawson.


and another to P/O Johannes van Mesdag. This Dutch airman (serving in the Royal Air Force) crashed his Mustang in the village and there is a memorial at that spot. His family funded the restoration of the church organ, which is acknowledged with a brass plate fixed to the organ.
