Frederick George Addison was born in Poslingford on 25th October 1913 (Risbridge Q4-1913 4A:1720) son of Sidney George [1884] and Ada [1888] ADDISON (née HURST).
In 1939 his parents, brother Leslie John [1916] and sister Mary Elizabeth [1922] (later GREEN) were at 1 Clapton Hall Cottages, Poslingford (1 closed record). A farm labourer, he married Dorothy Beatrice WORDLEY ( Q1-1940 Newmarket) who was working at Poslingford Hall in 1939. They lived at Stour Street, Cavendish and Dorothy married Leslie E. MOTT in 1946. |
He was captured on 15th February 1942 on the surrender of Singapore to the Japanese.
