Arthur Henry Maitland WILSON was born in in India on 23rd January 1885, son of Lt.General Sir Henry Fuller Maitland KCB., KCMG. and Lady Charlotte Elise WILSON (née GOUGH). 1891 census,,,Aged 4, he was at Medham House, Northwood, Isle of Wight with his father Henry F.M. WILSON [32] Captain in Rifle Brigade, born London; his mother Charlotte E [26] born India; brother Hugh M. [4][ born Langham (Stowlangtoft); sister Muriel M [10 moths] born Northwood, Isle of Wight.

1901 census...Aged 16, he and his brother Hugh were at Great Amwell (Haileybury College). His parenst were at Orwell Park, Rathmines, Dublin with his sister Muriel

1911 census...He was serving in India.

Educated at Haileybury 1898-1903, and Sandhurst. Commissioned 18th Janury 1905


He was accidentally killed, at Khanikin, Iraq, by the collapse of the arch under which his tent was pitched.
