George PRIGG was born in Soham (3rd qtr 1877 Newmarket 3b:529) son of Hathan and Dinah PRIGG (née GARNER)

1881 census...Aged 4, he was at River Bank, Soham with his fsather Nathan PRIGG [37] farm labourer, born Coloinge; his mother Dinah [34]; sisters Sophia [18], Alice [12] and Emma [8]; brothers Robert [16], Harry [14], and Nathan [1]. All except his father were born in Soham.

1891 census...Aged 14, he was at Swaisdale House, Stuntney with his parents, brother Henry, Nathan and Albert Edward [7] born Stuntney; sister Alice niece Rose Hannah PRIGG [4 months] born Stuntney.



He died at the battle at Grassy Hill (now Suffolk Hill)
His Queens South Africa medal carries the clasp Cape Colony
