Arthur FULLER was born in Barrow (2nd qtr 1886 Thingoe 4a:699) son of Arthur and Jane FULLER (née PASK)

1891 census...Aged 4, he was at 4 Oxford Place, Barrow with his fsther Arthur FULLER [40]farm labourer; his mother Jane [40] born Chedburgh; brothers Ernest [13] and Harry [9 months]; sisters Julia [11] and Harriet [3]. All except his mother were born in Barrow.

1901 census...Aged 15, a draper's porter, he was at 3 Ravensbourne Terrace, Lewisham, visiting the KNOCK family. His parents; brothers Ernest and Harry; sisters Harriet and Susannah [9] were still in Barrow.

1911 census...Aged 25 he was with the Rifle Brigade in India. His parents and brother Ernest were still in Barrow



He enlisted in London on 8th February 1906, giving his age as 18 years 9 months, an indoor porter, born Barrow, Suffolk. 5 feet 5.5 inches tall, weighing 123 lbs, chest 32 to 34.5 inches, brown eyes, black hair, Church of England. Next of kin, parents at 4 Oxford Place, Barrow.

He had extended his service in the colours on 26th July 1914. At some time in 1915 he had committed some serious offence as he was awarded 28 days Field Punishment No.1 on 14th October 1915.
