Harry Charles Sharp was born Barrow (1st qtr 1883 Thingoe 4a:649) son of John and Sophia D.SHARP(née SMITH)

1891 census...Aged 8, he was at 52 The Street, Barrow with his father John SHARPE [58] farm labourer; his mother Soppy (Sophie?) [48] born Dalham; sister Eva [11] and brother Edward [3]. All except his mother were born in Barrow.

His father died in 1893 and mother married Arthur SCOTT in 1898

1901 census...Aged 18, a farm labourer, he was at The Green, Barrow with his stepfather Arthur SCOTT [45] farm labourer, born Barrow; his mother; brother Edward (farm labourer) and sister Eva

His mother died in 1908

1911 census...Aged 28, a corn merchant's carter, he was boarding with the MORTLOCK, family at Denham End, Barrow. His widower stepfather was an inmate at Bury St Edmunds Union Workhouse and Infirmary, 36 Mill Road, Bury St.Edmunds. Brother Edward was boarding with the HAMMOND family in Burthorpe.

His sole legatee was brother T 22513 Driver Edward SHARP,


He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds and died in Israel from influenza

33rd Combined Clearing Hospital was based in Haifa after its capture. The 1st/5th Suffolks were at Haifa at the time.
