Probate has him resident of Felsham. Apart from enlisting in Beyton, no connection with Beyton has been found. His father died in 1914 and his mother in Dalham in 1918, which is proably why there is no pension index card for him
His brother Arthur John Grimwade died of pneumonia in France in 1916, he was married and a resident in Ipswich

He enlisted in Beyton, probably the same day at Hugh Bridges
