1891 census...Aged 10 months, he was at The Green, Beyton with his grandfather Frederick LAST [46] market gardener born Bradfield; his grandmother Mary [46] born Bradfield; aunts Sarah [13] and Lily Norah [9] both born Bradsfield; Hilda M [2] born Beyton ( grand-daughter of Frederick but parentage unknown, possibly Harry's sister). His mother is believed to have been in service in Ipswich 1901 census...Aged 10, he was at The Street, Stansfield with his step father George ROWLEY, [25] journeyman blacksmith born Bury St.Edmunds; his mother Mary Ann [31] born Gedding; half brothers Frederick C ROWLEY [4] born Beyton and Edward G ROWLEY [5 months] born Stansfield. 1911 census...Aged 20, a farm labourer, he was back at Beyton with his widowed grandmother Mary and Hilda Mary LAST[22]. His mother and her ROWLEY family were in Monks Eleigh. By the time of his death his mother had moved to Wickhambrook. |

The battalion was at Hooge on the 9th June and the line was only held by posts, with no-one north of the road. 3 were killed and 2 wounded.
