Benjamin Frederick Talbott was born on 18th May 1915 (2nd qtr 1915 Sudbury 4a:1711) son of Benjamin and Melinda Jane TALBOTT (née ARMSTRONG)

He married Mavis Alberta WILTON of Handsworth, Birmingham in the 1st qtr 1944, in Birmingham. She was serving in the W.A.A.F at the time of his death. His home residence was recorded as Loft Farm, Bradfield Combust

In the 1939 register he was single, a police constable lodging at 3 Kitchener Road, Ipswich. His parents and sister Edna were at the King William Inn, Lawshall, where is father was publican/farmer


He died of his wounds during the landings in Normandy on D Day
