George Armstrong was born in 1st qtr 1917 Bury St.Edmunds 4a:1493, son of Albert and May ARMSTRONG (née ARBON)

In the 1939 register his father and 2nd wife Emma sister (sister of George's mother) were at Elm Green Farm, Bradfield St.Clare



The 7th Hampshires had just crossed the Rhine on the 24th March 1945 in assault craft.



Originally buried in Bedburg, just NW of Cologne in Germany, he was re-interred on 28th August 1945

George Armstrong is buried in Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, Netherlands 6:E:6
