Born in Burwell in 1893 (2nd qtr Newmarket 3b:538) son of George P and Louisa REVENS (née CLARKE )

1901 census...Aged 7, he was at North Street, Burwell with his father George REVENS [36] gardener born Drinkstone; his mother Louisa [37] born Bury St.Edmunds; brothers Henry [16] and Charles [10] both born Bury St.Edmunds; sisters Mary [13] and Louisa [11] both born Euston, Suffolk, Ellen [6], Lalia [4] and Dorothy [2] all born Burwell

1911 census...Aged 17, a gardeners assistant, he was at 36b Elliot Road, Bromley, Kent with his parents; brothers Charles (florist's assistant); sisters Ellen (flower packer), Laelia (flower packer) and Dorothy

His mother's address on the pension card is Chapel Farm Nursery, Bury St.Edmunds. The family were in Bury St.Edmunds by 1916 when his sister Mary married.


He enlisted in Worksop. He died of Enteric Fever at Tooting Military Hospital
