Born in 1892 (1st qtr Hunringdon 3b:273) the son of William and Mary Ann BACON (née NEFFLY)

1901 census...Aged 9, he was at 7 Great Northern Street, Huntingdon with his father William BACON [47]coach body maker, born Brockdish, Norfolk; his mother Mary Ann [44 born Wingfield, Suffolk; brothers Edward [21] boot shop assistant, born Halesworth, Suffolk, Hedley [15]stationer's assistant, George [12] born Huntingdon, and sister Blanche [7] born Huntingdon.

1911 census...Aged 19, a sopa salesman, he was at 4 Beech Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham, with his brother Edward Alebert, now boot shop manager, Edward's wife Elzabeth Mary [28] born Deptford and their son Edward George Hedley [1] born Sparkhill.
His parents and sister had moved to 49 Churchgate Street, Bury St.Edmunds

The pension card has his mother at 49 Churchgate Street, Bury St.Edmunds


He enlisted in Louth, Lincolnshire

Dying in a Base Hospital, and in the absence of his Army service record, it is impossiblw to say where or when he was wounded/taken ill
