H.M.Trawler "Flicker" was built by Goole SHipbuilding & Repairing Co. Ltd., Goole in 1911 and operated at the time of her loss by the Royal Navy. She was a British navy trawler of 192 tons. On March 4th, 1916, Flicker on patrol was sunk by a mine from the German submarine UC-6 (Matthias Graf von Schmettow), off Dover. 14 persons were lost. No photograph has been found
