Born on 25th July 1913 in Gibraltar where his father was in the Army. Son of Albert James and Jemina BUGG (née ). Husband of Mary Dorothy née GABBUTT ( married 4th qtr 1941 in Liverpool)
In 1939 he was a builder's labourer/lorry driver, living with his parents at 96 Horringer Road, Bury St.Edmunds.

Captured 8th March 1942. He died in Patients Rec.Sta of the Batavian CP from diptheria and was originally buried in Batavia Cemetery
