Born in 1914, 1st qtr Bury St.Edmunds 4a:1782, son of Arthur Charles and Georgina CORNISH (née PASK). Husband of Dorothy May (née MEACHAM)

He died just before the Battle of the Falaise gap (12th August). The narrow sunken lanes of the Bocage had proved in many places to be a paradise for defenders, as the Allies were to fund for themselves. The 2nd Monmouths had 7 killed on the 7th August, all buried in Brouay.
