Born on 8th June 1910 in Reigate (2nd qtr REIGATE 2a:210) son of Charles Ernest and Ellen CRAWLEY (née COSWAY). Baptised at St Mary's, Reigate the day he was born.
He married Dorothy Helena COPLAND of Sledmere, Yorkshire, in qtr 4 1940 at Buckrose, Yorks.

1911 census...He was at 16 Springcopse Road, Reigate. In this census his mother entered herself as Ellen CRAWLEY, [35] born Tunbridge Wells, Kent, married 3 years, daughter Rose [2] and Charles Henry [1] both children born in Reigate. His father's WW1 Army records have his eldest son as Ernest Henry. By 1915 the family were at Manor Lane, Horringer. His father has not been positively identified in this census

The cause of his death in Bath, at St Martin's Hospital, was tuberculerous meningitis.
