Born in Auchterader, Perthshire in 1894 ( ) son of Duncan and Grace DRUMMOND (née GARDINER)

1901 census...Aged 7, he was at Westfield House, Auchterarder with his father Duncan DRUMMOND [42] farmer born Glsgow; his mother Grace [38] born Feordis, Perthshire; sisters Gracie Gardiner [9] born Auchterarder and Harriet Ann Boone Allen. [3] born Auchterarder; grandmother Harriet GARDINER [75] born Moneydie, Perthshire.

1911 census...Aged 17 he was at Park Farm, Henham, Wangford with his parents; brother Allan Robertson [9] born Auchterarder; sisters Janet (Daisy) Tran [8] born Auchterarder, Mary Gardiner [5] and Isabella Stewart R [3] both born Newmarket.

His father died in 1913. his mother moved to St.Mary's Lode, Bury S.Edmunds hence his link with Bury St.Edmunds


He enlisted in London when resident in Hatfield.
The battalion were in trenches at Neuville St.Vaast. With no service record available and Malcolm dying of wounds, it is impssible to say exacty where or when he was wounded.

Maclom Drummond is buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension, france 1:D:59
and commemorated on the war memorials of Auchterarder and Hatfield.
