Born in Bury St.Edmunds on 5th February 1879 (1st qtr 4a:585) son of Spencer William and Eleanor Jane FAIERS (née HAMBLING)

1881 census...Aged 2, he was at 2 Payne's Yard, Westgate Street, Bury St.Edmunds with his fsther Spencer FAIERS [28] shoe maker born Stowmarket; his mother Ellen [25] born Stowmarket; sisters Martha M [6] and Florence B [1 month] both born in Bury St.Edmunds.

Admitted to St.James National School on 14th September 1885 from St.John's Infants School, living at 20 Long Brackland, Bury St.Edmunds.

Very elusive man who disappears from on line documemts after starting school. Mother at 28 Mustow Sreet, Bury St.Edmunds with CWGC and pension card His death certificate has 17 Mustow Street, Bury St Edmuds


He enlisted in Wandsworth. "Soldier Died" has Henry George FAIERS in 14th Battalion East Surrey Regt. Neither battalion, 13th or 14th were overseas before Harry died.
He died from Bronchitis and asthma in 3rd London General Hospital Wandsworth on 18th April 1916 aged 40, serving n "F" Company, 13th East Surrey Regiment.
