Born on 10th December 1905 in Ipswich (1st qtr 4a:1043) son of Ernest and Lucy FARROW (née ASKEW)
He married Martha Ellen MOORE [17-2-1906] in Stowmarket in 1928. He was a chauffeur/gardener and in 1939 lived at 22 Short Brackland, Bury St.Edmunds

1911 census...Aged 6, he was at 19 Chapel Lane, Walton with his father Ernest FARROW [48] cab driver born Stowmarket; his mother Lucy [36] born Somersham, Suffolk; brother Charles [8] born Ipswich.

Being in the Royal Engineers it is very difficult to pin down where he was on 15th August. The main attention that day was the invasion of Southern France "Operation Dragoon".

William Farrow is buried in Arezzo War Cemetery, Italy 6:E:16
His original burial is recorded just as a GRU map reference, he was re-interred in Arezzo in April 1945
