Born in 1910 2nd qtr Bury St.Edmunds 4a:944 - son of Harry and Elizabeth FAYERS (née HACKETT). CWGC have his age wrong

1911 census...Aged 1, he was at 11 Westgate Place, Bury St.Edmunds with his father Harry FAYERS [37] bricklayer's labourer; his mother Elizabeth [33]; sisters Ethel [11], Maud [8], Violet [6] and Beatrice [4]

His mother died in 1929, and father died in 1938. The Mrs N Soames on his PoW card is most likely to be his sister Maud who married Albert Soames in 1926

He was captured on 15th February 1942 at the surrender of Singapore to the Japanese. The cause of death is given as cardiac beri beri.
