All were born in Bury St.Edmunds 1901 census...Aged 12, he was at 12 Raingate Street, Bury St.edm ds with his parents (father a fish hawker, mother a monthly nurse); brother Harry (farm labourer) and Bertie; sisters Rebecca [9], Ada [7], Marjorie [5], Lily [3] and Maude [9 months]. 1911 census...Aged 25 [sic], he was a Private in the 4th Worcestershire Regiment in India. At 12 Raingate Street, Bury St.Edmunds were his parents; sisters Rebecca, Lily, Maude, Gladys [8] and brother John [6]. |
