1881 census...Aged 7, he was at 21 Union Trrace, Bury St.Edmunds with his fasther Joseph HICKS [36] a labourer i iron works; his mother Mary Ann [39], born Great Welnetham; sisters Amelia [12] and Ada [4];brother Frank Thomas [2]. All except his mother were born in Bury St.Edmunds 1891 census...Aged 17 he was a Private in the Suffolk Regiment at St.Botolph's Camp, Colchester 1901 census...Already dead, but his parents were at 24 Hospital Road, Bury St.Edmunds. |
