He enlisted in Bury St.Edmunds War Diary :- Trenches S of GUILLEMONT:- Our guns shell enemy all day and at 5 pm commence intense fire on the position Battn is to attack. 5:40 pm attack begins. 24th Div.on our left, KINGS LIVERPOOL REGT on our right.
