1891 census...Aged 8, He was at Speed's Farm, Brockley with his father George LOMAX [43] fsarm labourer born Stanningfield; his mother Harriet [40] born Croxton; brothers Harry [16] born Stanningfield and Willie [4] bron Brockley; sisters Sophia [14] born Lawshall, Rose [12] born Stanningfield, Mary [10] born Lawshall and Flora [2] born Brockley

1901 census...Aged 17, farm labourer, he was at Little Elms, Depden with his parents; brother Ernest [9] born Brockley; sisters Florence May and Daisy Mahala [8] born Depden.

1911 census...Aged 28, farm labourer, he was at Rookery Cottage, Depden with his parents; sister Sophia PICTON and her three london born children, William [8], Edgar [5] and Hershall [1]

His brother Charles' Army records have George at 8 Cemetery Row, Cemetery Road, Bury St.Edmunds


He enlisted in Bury St. Edmunds The war diary is no help..just In Trenches, Reserve Battalion of left brigade. No indication of where. Dying from wounds with no service record available, it is impossible to say exactly were or when he was wounded
