Born Lymm, Cheshire on 14th April 1893 (2nd qtr ALTRINCHAM 8a:212) son of Eric Edmund Moffat Davidson and Blanche Elizabeth Lydston Douglas MANSON (née LANE).

1901 census...Aged 7, he was at 111 Northgate Stree, Bury St.Edmunds with his father Eric E MANSON [43] born Scotland, his mother Blanche E [40] born Debenham; sister Ethel B [6] born Ireland.

July 1910 he commenced medical training at St Bartholomew's Hospital

1911 census...Aged 17, a student he was visiting retired schoolmaster Arthur FORMAN at Helenbridge, Marhamchurch, Bude

He enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps in Toronto, Canada on 9th August 1917. he gave his age as 24 years 3 months , address 14 Northgate, Bury St.Edmunds, England an aviator cadet /surveyor. He had served in the Officer Training Corps at Marlborough College.He was 5 feet 9.75 inches tall, chest expansion 3.5 inches.

Died as a result of airplane crash from 1000 feet at Hicks Field, Tarrant County, Texas. In 1917 and 1918, units of the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Air Force were stationed at the Fort Worth flying field under a reciprocal arrangement between the American and Canadian air services.
