War Diary:-
10th Oct...Orders were received to attack the enemy who were reported to be retiring. Zero hour was 5:30 an and by this time the Battn was assembled north of BOHAIN ready to advance. The final objective was a distance of about 5,000 yards. This distance was traversed without opposition and the battn dug in on an outpost line with the Americans on their left north of the railway at VAUX ANDIGNY and the the LEICESTERS on their right at GUYOT FARM.The country was practically untouched by war and the farms were still occupied by civilians and the country in cultivation.

Despite it appearing to be very quiet, CWGC record 23 of the battalion dying on the day, but that of course may include some dying from wounds from earlier.
