1901 census...Aged 7 he was at 69 Cannon Street, Bury St.Edmunds with his father Arthur NUNN [32] rag and bone buyer; his mother Mary Ann [33]; sisters Lizzie [13] and Lily [4]; brothers Charles [11], Frederick [9] and Arthur [2]. All were born in Bury St.Edmunds. His father died in 1908 1911 census...Aged 17, a general dealer, he was at 68 Cannon Street, Bury St.Edmunds with his widowed mother ( a washerwoman); brothers Charles (labourer, Frederick (moulder), Arthur , Alfred [9], George [6] and Bertie [2]; sister Lily. His mother had lost 3 of her 12 children. His mother married George SIZER (in 1912?) and was at 12 St Edmunds Place, Bury St.Edmunds |

War Diary for August 1915...14th A quiet day, nothing of note occurred. A wiring party had 6 rifle grenades thrown at them without any damage being done. One suspects if he could answer, William might disagree with that
