Born in 1891 (2nd qtr Bury St.Edmunds 4a:802) son of John and Matilda NUNN (née MIDDLEDITCH)

1901 census...Aged 10, he was at 78 Out Westgate, Bury St.Edmunds with his father John NUNN [45] a carman born Chevington; his sisters Maud [20] and Daisy [14]; brother Herbert [12]. All except his father were born in Bury St.Edmunds. Failed to identify his mother Matilda (born Cockfield) in this census

His father died in 1st qtr 1910.

1911 census...Failed to identify William in this census. His widowed mother was at 71 Westgate with her daughter Alice HARRIS and husband Arthur HARRIS, and her daughter Daisy NUNN.

On the pension card his mother was at 105 York Road, Bury St.Edmunds.

He married Rebecca WEBBER [16-9-1887] on 10th July 1915 in Knook, Wiltshire ( he was a Corporal), later of "Le Treport", Ray Street, Coggeshall Road, Bocking. There was one son, William Bramwell John [27-5-1918].


He enlisted in Marylebone.

He died in No.2 Canadian General Hospital, Le Treport. Without his service record there is no way of knowing when or where he was wounded.
