1901 census...Aged 7, he was at 76 Risbygate Street, Bury St.Edmunds with his parents and sister Gwendoline. Brothers Kenneth and George were at Framlngham College. His sister Olive and Sybil were at Ladies College at St.Helier, Jersey. 1911 census...Aged 17, studying farming, he was boarding with farm bailiff James MIEKLE and his family at Colehay, Andoversford, Glos. His parents seem to be holidaying at Brandon House, Undecliffe, Felixstowe. At 20 Northgate Street, Bury St.Edmunds were his sisters Olive Agnes, and Sybil Emily; brothers Kenneth William and George Gordon His brother Guy died in Gallipoli in August 1915 see here |
